One out of every two company owners plans to sell his or her business during the next 10 years, according to a recent survey by Price Waterhouse Coopers.
For companies in the $5 million to $150 million of range, there’s a two-in-three chance that a business owner plans to leave his or her company within the next 10 years. Yet only 22 percent of owners report having done a great deal of succession planning.
